My name is Laura Kisthardt. I am an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, currently serving as Associate Pastor at First Congregational Church of Southington, Connecticut.
I graduated May 2020 with my Masters of Divinity from Yale Divinity School. I received the Jonathan Edwards Prize from Andover Newton Seminary at Yale Divinity School. The Jonathan Edwards Prize is awarded for “Christian ministry at the intersection of faith and intellect.”
During the 2018-2019 academic year I did a supervised ministry internship at Spring Glen Church in Hamden, Connecticut. Along my faith journey, I found spiritual nourishment at First Congregational Church of Hudson, Ohio and Cleveland Park Congregational United Church of Christ in Washington, DC.
Prayer and spirituality are very important to me. I have attended and led over a dozen spiritual retreats.
I am originally from Northeast Ohio. I graduated from John Carroll University in May 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Political Science.
